Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
The short version: PolyTickles uses one cookie, only to keep you logged in. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small piece of text a website saves in your browser. Local storage is similar, but it stays on your device and isn’t sent to our server.
The cookie we use
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
pt_session | Keeps you logged in. It holds a random token only. Scripts can’t read it (HttpOnly) and it’s only sent over HTTPS. | 30 days, or until you log out |
It’s only set when you log in or sign up. If you just browse, we don’t set any cookie.
Settings saved on your device
The app may save a few preferences in your browser’s local storage, like whether sound is on and whether you’ve already seen the intro or this cookie notice. They stay on your device and aren’t used for tracking.
Why we don’t ask for consent
Privacy laws let sites use cookies without asking when they’re essential for something you asked for. Staying logged in is essential, and the saved settings just remember your own choices. If we ever add anything that isn’t essential, we’ll ask first.
No tracking
We don’t use analytics, ads, social media plugins or any other tracking. Cloudflare protects the site and delivers videos, so it sees your IP address. See the Privacy Policy.
How to control them
- Log out to remove the cookie. You can log out of all devices in Settings.
- Clear site data in your browser to remove the cookie and saved settings.
- If you block cookies, you won’t be able to log in.
Changes and questions
If we change what we store, we’ll update this page. Questions? Use Report → “Something else” in the app, or read our Privacy Policy.
